The paper, published by the Greenbelt Cooperative Publishing Association, Inc., was established in 1937 as a volunteer organization shortly after the construction of Greenbelt, one of The New Deal Green Towns. It has been published weekly without interruption since that time and is delivered free to all Greenbelt residents.
