We are excited to announce that GHI can now send electronic notices and communications to members!
During GHI’s 2024 work session between your Board and the Cooperative’s legal counsel, a question was posed about reducing the costs associated with annual or other mailings. Could the Board provide members with notices via electronic communication? Joe Douglass, from the Whiteford law firm, confirmed for the Board that Maryland Cooperative law had been revised to allow such communication. Upon learning this information, the Board requested that Joe Douglass’s firm develop a form that could be utilized to enroll members who opt-in to receive notices and communications from the management office via electronic communication.
The Board approved the Resolution and Authorization Form during the open meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2024, and it can be found below. As members opt-in, all future communications will be delivered electronically. Additionally, although paper copies of materials will be the default, management will look for ways to reduce future mailing costs.
Our management team looks forward to working with the members on this new initiative.
