SUNDAY, October 27th, 2024, 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (The swap will start at 11:15 a.m.)
Location: GHI Office, 1 Hamilton Place (outside)
It’s time to take stock of your garden: harvest some seeds, divide your perennials, and evaluate your blank spaces. Then bring along your excess plants, divisions, seedlings, seeds, and bulbs to the Plant Swap and prepare to pick up some new plants. Also bring your surplus tools that are in good working condition, gardening books, magazines, garden ornaments, etc. Please do not bring houseplants or invasive species such as English Ivy, pachysandra, periwinkle, Rose of Sharon, etc. — we have more than enough. We will set up at 11:00 a.m. and start the Swap with a “tour” of the available plants at 11:15 a.m. Please bring a card with a description of your plant.
After that, everyone will get a turn to pick out a plant or gardening miscellany until everything is gone. Anything that is not picked up gets to go back home with their respective donors.
If you are a new gardener and don’t have anything for the Plant Swap, you can always garner a few tips as well as pick up some plants.
